Sponsor Disclosure

Sponsor Disclosure

Our policy

linkzine is supported by sponsors. We label every sponsored placement clearly so you can tell what is paid and what is editorial.

How we label sponsorship

  • Sponsor blocks in the newsletter are prefixed with // SPONSOR at the top of the block. They are visually separated from curated links.
  • Affiliate links in any context (for example, when a curated link mentions a product we have an affiliate relationship with) are disclosed with the prefix (affiliate) next to the link.
  • The website lists this disclosure page in the footer of every page.

What sponsors do not get

  • Editorial control. Sponsors do not influence which links we curate, how we summarize them, or which sources we follow.
  • Inclusion in the curated picks. A sponsor cannot pay to have their product appear among the five curated links of an issue. Sponsorship buys the labeled block; that’s it.
  • Subscriber data. We do not share email addresses, names, or any subscriber data with sponsors. Sponsors get aggregate metrics (issue opens, clicks on their CTA), never individual data.

How we choose sponsors

  • We sell sponsorships through:

  • Paved (paved.com)

Direct inquiries: thorsten@linkzine.com – We turn down sponsors that: – Demand editorial integration or pre-approval of curated links – Operate in cryptocurrency promotion, MLM, gambling, or industries that don’t align with our audience’s professional context – Send a sponsor copy that contains misleading claims

Our affiliate relationships

We participate in affiliate programs from time to time. When a curated link mentions a product we earn a commission from, we mark the link (affiliate). Affiliate relationships do not affect whether we cover a product — we cover what’s interesting to our audience regardless of commission.

Reader recourse

If you ever feel a piece of editorial content reads like a paid placement that wasn’t labeled, please email thorsten@linkzine.com. We will investigate and respond within 7 days.

FTC / advertising compliance

This disclosure is intended to comply with the U.S. FTC’s Endorsement Guides, the EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive, and Germany’s UWG (Gesetz gegen den unlauteren Wettbewerb).
